Our Story
Born and brought up in Telangana, which is home to some of the richest weaving traditions, fashion designer Sindhu Yerram always had profuse textile inspiration around her. Whether it’s the intricate geometric-patterned Ikat outfits or the netted and embroidered lehenga sarees, Sindhu has grown up adorning some of the finest weaves of the region. Every time she dresses up for an occasion, there are queries on her styling from the curious acquaintances. A trip to Pochampally for the shopping of her friend’s wedding a couple of years ago only ascertained Sindhu’s gifted styling skills.
When her friend’s family made an impeccably colour-coordinated appearance in Sindhu’s choice of clothes, it was yet another testimony of her fashion quotient.
So when Sindhu decided to switch over from her KYC analyst career with a mutual fund MNC to a professional option that would give her quality family time, fashion designing emerged as an effortless choice. Honing her skills further with a fashion designing course at IIFT Bangalore, Sindhu was now ready to wield her style tool kit. With an eye for colours, contemporary design sense and zest for embellishment, Sindhu began her fashion journey in 2018, initially with jewellery designing and eventually with clothes.
As a promising designer on the block, she started off by making a striking statement with her choice of bold colour palette and a swatch of classy fabrics. Celebrating the traditional while embracing the modern is what Sindhu’s style is all about. With splendidly embellished details, she presents an arresting color pop with her outstanding yoke, neckline, back and sleeves.
A business that initially spread by the word of mouth, gradually gained loyal client base which was built on trust, dependability and customer satisfaction. So much so that even when the lockdowns brought many small businesses to a standstill, Sindhu continued to take new design orders and shipped them on time.

With her passion for embellishments and frills, she blends in elements that add her own stamp of creativity. “When people go shopping for designer wear, they are more concerned about how it looks but my clothes are also about how it feels. I pay a great deal of attention to the finishing of the outfits,” points out Sindhu.
Her fascination with the grandiose of temple architecture across Tamil Nadu, which she explored during her travels, seemed to have profusely inspired Sindhu’s love for jewellery and her flair for ornamentation of outfits.

Exploring Possibilities in Traditional Weaves
A unique technique of dyeing which transfers intricate geometric patterns onto the fabric, Pochampally Ikat of Telangana is known for its distinctive weaving heritage. The warp and weft threads are coloured first and later woven together. While the double Ikat continues to charm fashion designers since years, Sindhu chooses to reimagine new possibilities with this handloom. Whether it’s a straight-cut jacket style Ikat kurta slit at centre and layered with A-line chikankari underskirt or an Ikat ankle-length maxi dress with her square-shape version of boat neck, Sindhu has her own way of making a fashion statement.
With knife pleats, puff sleeves and square yoke, she also lends an interesting twist to Narayanapet silhouettes, which are woven with interlocked weft technique. The handloom border with temple inspired motifs on neckline and sleeves adds to the glitter of the outfits.
Pleats, Tassels & Frills to Accentuate Designer Fabrics
When it comes to designer fabrics, Sindhu loves to play around with colours and trims no holds barred. Her colour pops of blue-yellow, mint green-periwinkle and red-bottle green make for interesting combinations to showcase the shimmery pleats and adornment addons on her fabric.
